What We Believe

At ImprovEdge, we are committed to doing the work of unraveling our bias toward those who are different from us - whether that be race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or all other areas of unjust bias. We choose to not ignore our differences and instead embrace them – and fight for true team equity. We realize racism and bias are systemic and there is work to be done around this national issue. We know that the best improv show comes from a diverse ensemble, with different values and assumptions, all coming together for a common mission. We believe in lifting one another up for a common purpose of a successful performance, a stronger ensemble, and a better tomorrow. We believe #BlackLivesMatter. We acknowledge the myriad of biases that impact our decision-making and we commit to working to unravel the biases that uphold inequitable systems as we work and play as true improvisers.
